This course originates from Willow Creek Community Church, Chicago, U.S.A.

We have gained much experience teaching on friendship evangelism having used this course many many times in different churches across England, U.S.A. and Brazil.  We always adjust the course to suit the culture of the country and have adapted the teaching to suit our personalities making it lively, informative and challenging.  We have found it to be extremely successful.

All the teaching is BIBLICALLY BASED….(No wacky ideas that aren’t in the Bible).

As well as teaching people “what friendship evangelism is all about”,they are also taught “HOW to do it” and encouraged to begin putting it into practice from the very first session.

Many people have come to realise that we all have a responsibility to spread the Gospel and to do so we don’t have to become some great evangelist, we just have TO BE OURSELVES.

Several people have commented that their self-worth has been strengthened and as a result have had the courage to go and be a good witness.
We have also had encouraging reports from many who have led people to The Lord.

EACH SESSION includes FUN.  INTERACTION.  VIDEO CLIPS.
Often BREAKING INTO SMALL GROUPS OR PAIRS.

LENGTH OF COURSE  5 or 6 sessions. (Each session approximately 90 mins long)
If preferred the course can be condensed into a weekend programme.
We have found it to be most effective if sessions are presented on a weekly basis and on the same day of every week.

FRIENDSHIP EVANGELISM COURSE

              Contents of  6 weekly Sessions

Week 1.  Why become a Contagious Christian

Week 2.  Being Yourself and Impacting Others.
Discovering your natural evangelism style..everyone has one.
            Biblical explanation of different styles.
            Encouragement to begin putting our style into practice.

Week 3.  Deepening your Relationships and Conversations
           How to build relationships with unchurched people.

Week 4.  Communicating "Your Story"
 Identify why our stories are important.
 Opportunity to write out our personal stories.
 Teaching on how to tell our stories in a few minutes.

Week 5.  Communicating "God's message"
Learning 3 ways to communicate the Gospel message in a concise way.

“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope you have.”    1 Peter 3:15
At the end of this course everyone attending should be able to do as Peter suggests.

Week 6.  “Objections”
         Identify common objections.

 

CHURCH WILL NEED TO SUPPLY: Video Projector. VCR. O.H.P and Screen.

EACH PERSON WILL NEED:  A Pen and Pencil.  Some teaching notes will be supplied but people will still need a Book to take notes.
