What kind of world are we living in?

Hi Everyone,

The news has just reported how Ian Huntley the chlid killer is to sue the Prison Service for compensation after his throat was slashed in an attack by a fellow inmate.  Since when does it make sense to give these kind of rights to a person who does not respect the rights of others especially innocent children?  I do feel sorry for his plight but all sin has consequences and his is a life in prison because of his wrong doings (sin), where we know there is aweful stuff going on all the time.  How can it be right to give him certain rights that he refused to others?

Psalm 34v 15-16 say,“The eyes are the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry; the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.”

I believe in a God who loves us, wants the best for us and expects us to consider others as precious too.  I know we all sin (do wrong things) and none of us is perfect but the Lord seeks to restore broken lives through repentance, forgiveness and a genuine desire to not keep doing the same old stuff wrong, time and time again.  If we get on our knees and ask for forgiveness God, through Jesus Christ is close at hand to lift us out of the darkness and bring us into the light where love, healing and wholeness can take place.

What do you think?  Be blessed Steve and Jan

Opportunities in USA so far!!!

We are having a great time of ministry here in Indiana. We started out in South Carolina from 17th Sept – 19th Oct. It was so good to catch up with our friends both pastors and churches alike. We made many new friends, recorded a TV show called ‘Cornerstone Unplugged’ where we had to play live, speak about ministry and the songs we wrote. The most difficult part of this was having to sit down the whole time! We like to move around as many of you know. We pray the Lord uses this to touch many who need to know the love of Jesus Christ as they listen on the secular TV channel.
We have 2 radio shows coming up this month, one Christian, ‘Spirit FM’ out of Bloomington, Indiana and the other secular, ‘WCBK Radio’ out of Martinsville, Indiana. We want people to hear our new music but also know that God is alive and well and working around the world! Plz pray for this to happen and that we can make good contacts for future concert oppportunities for next year when we return to continue our ministry here in the US. There is a wonderful scripture we use with worship teams that would be good for us all to remember.
(Phil 2:3) “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit but in humility consider others better than yourself.” This is at the heart of our ministry and how we try to live our lives daily for the Lord. Be blessed Steve :)

Oh, to be like Joseph?

I have been studying the life of Joseph in Genesis recently and he sure is an amazing character.  Even though he made silly mistakes in his early dealings at home (check out Genesis 37 ) He kept faithful to God in the face of many disappointments.  Each time the devil tried to knock him down the Lord in His time, would raise him up higher than before until he became second only to Pharoah in Egypt.

I know in my own life that when I have stayed faithful to the Lord, He has brought about the victory every time.  Yet all too often, I have had to learn that unless I do things God’s way, I WILL fall flat on my face, either literally as I stumble to defeat or as I bow down to ask His forgiveness for my wrongdoing or sinful heart.

I pray that today each of us would seek to learn from the example of Joseph and trust that whatever our situation, God knows best.  That even in the tough days, weeks, months or even years we would stand on the side of ultimate victory through Christ Jesus.  Prayer: “Lord, when we stand before you on judgement day, may our testimony be that of Joseph. ‘ The Lord was with Joseph and blessed him greatly…’ Amen.” ( Genesis 39 v2, 3, 21, 23 )  Be blessed – Steve

Off to Uganda until 18th Aug

Hi all,
Just a short msg to let you know we’re leading a team of 14 in Uganda until 18th August so it will be hard to add new stuff til we get back. We will then add some of our new songs for you to listen to and asap a new video of our work will be added. We would very much appreciate your prayers for the health of the whole team. Many of the homes have no electricity or running water where we are based outside of Kampala.  Plz pray for these wonderful people who share even the little they have to make us feel so welcome. The more we can make them know their value to God the better.  He thinks they’re priceless and unique and we seek to show them this by our love for them too.

If you would like to help us with funding for our trips that really would be a much needed blessing in these economic times.  Maybe a coffee morning with friends or a simple sponsored event would make a huge difference to what we can do and who we can help. We thank every one of you for supporting us in so many ways over the years. Plz stay in touch as together we impact nations in the name of Jesus Christ. Be blessed. x x

Who said computers were quicker!!!

I think I’m beginning to hate my computer since it costs too much money and constantly needs attention. Hey, I’ve just discribed a wife. lol
We were so close to finishing the new album when the CPU decides it is too slow to work properly so we keep getting audio glitches and crashes all the time now. I know the Lord supplies all our needs and so the only thing to do is…. PRAY! Plus have a quick moan to myself here… hehehe
I thought I needed to finish the CD before we went to Uganda to lead a team of 12 but I know that God must have a better plan. It can sound a cop out but even though I get frustrated over things like this, I do believe God WILL supply when it is needed. Maybe you have a need today, well, bring it before God and ask Him He’s waiting to hear from you. Go on give Him a call…. He’ll be a lot quicker than my computer!
And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. (Phil 4v12)

Where has Tevez gone?

I heard a few days ago that Tevez was leaving Man Utd which seems crazy to me. He must have been their best player last season, that is when he got on the pitch! No-body gave more effort than him. No-body played for the team more than him yet still he was either made a sub or left out far too many times. I only wish he would come to Spurs we’d appreciate his skills, etc.

I wonder if any of us feel like he must have felt at times? As a Christian, in church life, on the mission field, at home, wherever, eh? You give your all, work for the team yet get no recognition for your efforts. I’m honestly glad that my efforts do not determine how much God thinks of me or loves me, aren’t you? He loves me when I’m doing good for Him and He  even loves me when I’m not all I could or should be. His love never changes.

I know that He is building a mansion just for me and guess what? He’ll build one just for you too, if you give your life over to Him. What a thought, I can’t be loved any more than right here and right now. Whether I do great or mess up big time the One who created all things still love me!!! I know that’s no excuse to be lazy or mess up whenever I feel like it. But how great to know there is  a Father in heaven who wants the best for me, cares for me, provides for me, accepts me as I am.

More amazing than that is the fact, He wants the best for me more than I ever could. None of us deserve to belong to Him yet everyone of us can be, just by a simple act of faith and obedience to His, Son, Jesus Christ.

Psalm 25 vv5-7 says this….” guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways;
according to your love remember me, for you are good, O LORD.”

How great is that?

Where does my help come from?

Hi everyone.
We have just finished another song for the new album we’re recording. I must admit that sometimes it’s not easy to stay focused on the task in hand. We’re preparing for our trip to Uganda in a few weeks as well as the new album. Yet in the back of our mind is just how are we going to pay the bills. That’s right…  Bad, eh?  Am I the only one who has these doubts?  It’s great helping out in all the poorer countries like we do, plus writing songs and preparing teaching material but the reality is, it doesn’t automatically pay the bills!  Most of our work is free because we live by faith, trusting that one way or another, the Lord will work a miracle to provide all we need. Honestly, it would be so good to have a lot more people supporting us just a small amount each month so that while we’re away, we know the few bills we do have are taken care of.  But the reality is, I wouldn’t want to change my job for anything.  To serve so many people, in so many places is such a priviledge. we know the Lord is in this with us. Yet still there are times when I worry how this month will work out. When a person doesn’t need faith to get through each week it’s easy to say ‘trust the Lord, He will provide‘. Yes, each week He does and ‘Yes’, each week I wonder if He will this time!!! Crazy eh? But true. As a follower of Jesus Christ, I live for His glory and I trust Him above myself that’s for sure but it’s important to recognize the reality of what it really means ‘to live by faith’. Anyway, enough of my doubts… Below is a wonderful Psalm to help all of us each and every day. Be blessed Steve

I lift up my eyes to the hills— where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber;

The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand;the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. (Psalm 121)

Michael Jackson is dead at age of 50!

I just turned on the news to hear that Michael Jackson has died of a heart attack due to stress and work for his 50 date tour. As one who came out of the music industry, it is so sad that such a great entertainer has gone at so young an age. I may not agree with his lifestyle or some of the antics that he got up to but there was no doubting his musical genius or genuine appeal as a performer. He was probably the best ever. His music is timeless as far as I am concerned. It is a real reminder of several things. Firstly, life is not eternal even for the ‘Peter Pan of Pop’ let alone the rest of us. Secondly, that it is pointless praying for someone after they have died. The news said Rev. Al Sharpton asked people to pray for him but that is just wrong. Once we have left this earth our choices are set for all eternity. Jesus clearly stated that He is the only “way, the truth and the life. No-one comes to (God) the Father except through Him.” (John 14v6)  I don’t know what Jacko believed at the point of death, nor does anyone else but each of us still has the choice to make. The loss of such a wonderful performer and musician out of the blue should help us to see our own mortality and focus our minds on just how we intend to stand before our maker. Will it be on our own merit which will do use no good what so ever because we all fall short on that score, no exceptions. ( Romans 3v23) Or will we stand before God covered by the sacrifice of Jesus who died on the cross for our sin so that we are set free to live and die for Him. “Faith is being sure of what we hope for, and certain of what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11v1) Faith in Jesus Christ and living for Him will result in eternity with God when we do finally leave this world. That’s faith and that’s all there is. We will miss your music Michael and inspite of everything else, I do hope of all his choices in life that he chose Jesus! Now would be a good time for each of us to chose too……. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6v23)

New Album in the making for 2009

We are very excited about our new songs. A mix of worship and ministry songs which we have written in various countries from Brasil to Uganda to U.S.A. to Kosova and U.K.
We decided to include both English & native language in the song. The music is much more guitar driven this time and our desire is for the anointing we experience live to fill every part of this album to touch & impact lives for His glory!
