Prayer Letter - Spring 2010
Please would you pray for:
THE ARCTIC, NORWAY - We return mid-Sept to mid-Oct to encourage, teach and work alongside Tromso Baptist Church as they seek to reach out to their community. Plz pray for growth both numerically and Spiritually and for the Lord to bring in new believer's and many that are seeking. For the few members to build meaningful relationships with many not-yet-believers! We had such a great time of ministry with the fellowship early in 2010.
NEW ALBUM - Our latest worship & ministry songs are being well recieved when we minister and we would like to have them available for as many churches and groups as possible to use freely. It is not easy to get promotion unless you are an established artist, so plz pray for favour in this area and that the Lord would guide us to wise decisions as to which songs to include in our new worship album since there are now so many to choose from.
MACEDONIA, KOSOVA - For many lost people to come to know Jesus in the churches, out in the villages and on the streets. For the local pastors and believers as they work so hard in often tricky situations. resources are always an issue for many.
HAITI - The people are still struggling physically, mentally and Spiritually and it is important we hold them up in prayer and in whatever practical ways we can. I.e. homes, food, water, medical care, clothing. Also that the Christians will lead the way in showing compassion and the love of Jesus.
Us - Always for health, safe travel, wisdom and continued guidance as we seek to do the Lord's will. To preach the gospel with boldness, love and grace.
Finances - We were unable to except many ministry opportunities this year in Uganda because we simply did not have the money needed to finance the trip ourselves. still need continued improvement in this area to take care of the bills while we are away working with the poor and needy abroad, please would you pray.
Thank you for standing with us as together we aim to touch as many people as possible for our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Eph 3:16 (NLT)

Ministry destinations for 2010
26th January - 2nd March We had a great time of ministry in Tromso, Norway which is 380 miles north of the Arctic circle. Our time there was spent sharing the love and light of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible. This is the most northerly Baptist church in the world and we led meetings, taught on 'Worship' and 'Friendship Evangelism' over 5 weeks and helped them think about new ways to reach the 70,000 people living in the town, 99% of whom aren't even connected with a church. It was a real blessing to work with those involved in worship and to help them lead as a team and form a worship band.
March 30th - 16th We are leading services, outreach events in Macedonia, Kosova and Albania at the moment. Our heart is to encourage the churches and reach out to those who are not-yet-believers! We have seen healings and given many in the Easter services opportunities to give their lives to Jesus Christ. We believe it is right for the local church to pray with the lost and nurture them.
Sept 12th - 14th Oct Continue ministry with Tromso Baptist Church, Norway. Teaching, preaching, encouraging them and reaching out to the city of 70.000 people. Only 1 -2% go to church each week.
Last year was so busy that we never had enough quality time to spend working on our new “Lifestyle Course” but we intend to keep at this till it is completed and is available for the churches to use from a DVD or for us to go and teach personally. Our new worship C.D. and Songbook should be out this year so watch this space. We have already had opportunities to play some of these songs on Radio staions in America and a T.V. show in South Carolina. Jesus said,
"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit"....He also promised...
" and I will be with you always to the very end of the age".(Matthew 28:18-20) We are called to go and the promise of Jesus is that He WILL go with us, ALWAYS! Be blessed Steve & Jan
Jan & Steve in the Arctic 2010
We had a wonderful time of ministry in the Arctic and enjoyed great fellowship with the people of Tromso B. C.. Tromso is situated 380 miles north of the Arctic Circle and is in the most northerly tip of Norway. The 5 week 'Friendship Evangelism' course went very well. We were teaching them how to reach out to the unchurched and develop genuine friendships with them. Pastor David and his wife linn are a wonderful young couple who have a difficult task. Though the church is small in number they have a big heart and are believing for real growth in the days ahead as together we take this step of faith. If you are moving into the area why not come and visit them? The Lord may be calling you to join in the adventure too!
