Prayer LetterWinter 09

Please would you pray for:

Rev. Clive Doubleday our dear friend from 'Smile Int' who is undergoing Chemotheropy for Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, an aggressive form of cancer.  Clive has one more Chemotherapy session on 18th Dec to go.  Please pray for the cancer cells to be gone and that Clive will quickly recover strength and energy to continue the incredible work he, Ruth and the team do around the globe.  Thank you.

Us - for health, wisdom, unity and many opportunities to take Jesus into the slums, orphanages, churches and anywhere else the Lord has planned for us.  We still need improved finances to take care of the bills while we are away working with the poor and needy at home and abroad, please would you pray for that too.  Again thank you for standing with us as together we aim to touch many for our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

MinistryWhere next?

26th January - 2nd March We will be returning to Tromso, Norway which is 380 miles north of the Arctic circle.  Even though it will be without sunlight 24 hours a day we intend to share the love and light of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible.  We have been invited by the most northerly Baptist church in the world to lead meetings, teach on 'Worship' and 'Friendship Evangelism' over 5 weeks and help them think about new ways to reach the 62,000 people living in the town, 99% of whom aren't even connected with a church.

April 2nd - 16th  Leading a team for Smile Int. in Kosova as well as taking up personal ministry opportunities there and in Macedonia once again.  Our heart is to encourage the churches and reach out to those who are not-yet-believers!

July 19th - 10th August  Continuing to work with the churches around Kampala, Uganda and again to lead outreach services in remote areas where the gospel is needed among the poor.  This year we saw commitments to Christ and believe for a large harvest in 2010.  We will visit the slums of Kampala and wherever we go we will be praying for many people to come to faith in Jesus Christ and for healing in His name.

The past year has been so busy that we never had enough quality time to spend working on our new “Lifestyle Course” but we intend to keep at this till it is completed and is available for the churches to use from a DVD or for us to go and teach personally.  Our new worship C.D. and Songbook should be out early part of this year so watch this space.  We have already had opportunities to play some of these songs on Radio staions in America and a T.V. show in South Carolina.  Jesus said, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit"....  He also promised... "to be with us always to the end of the age".  (Matthew 28:18-20)  We are called to go and the promise of Jesus is that He WILL go with us, ALWAYS!  Be blessed Steve & Jan
 

Jan & SteveIn the Arctic?

 Our recent trip to the Arctic was a great success and genuine friendships with the church and leaders have been established.  Tromso is situated 380 miles north of the Arctic Circle and is part of the most northerly tip of Norway.  We worked in the Baptist Church leading youth, young people and adult meetings for 7 days.  Pastor David and his wife linn are a wonderful young couple who have a difficult task. We been invited to return in early 2010 to work with the church and elsewhere in the north of Norway.
